    The vulcanization temperature determines the degree of uniformity of vulcanization. Experience and tests have shown that when the temperature is 10°C higher, the vulcanization time will be shortened by about half, and rubber is a poor thermal conductor, and the vulcanization process of the product will vary due to different temperatures. For the vulcanization effect, the temperature control of thick rubber press is very critical, and the temperature should be gradually increased. The principle is low temperature and long time vulcanization.


    During the vulcanization process, the performance and quality of the vulcanizer are affected by several factors. The first factor affecting the vulcanization process of the hot-press machine is: the amount of sulfur used in the rubber molding press. However, the solubility of sulfur and rubber has a certain limit, and it is not that the larger the amount of sulfur used, the better. Excessive sulfur will be precipitated from the surface of the rubber compound. This phenomenon is called "sulfur spraying". It is necessary to minimize the occurrence of sulfur spraying. The method is to add an appropriate amount of sulfur at the lowest temperature possible. Under normal circumstances, the amount of sulfur in soft rubber should not exceed 3%, semi-hard rubber should not exceed 20%, and the amount of pure hard rubber should be higher. more than 40%.


  The vulcanization time is an important part of the vulcanization process. If it is too short or the vulcanization procedure is not enough, it is commonly known as "under-sulfur": if it is too long, the degree of vulcanization will be too high, commonly known as "over-sulfur". Good vulcanization effect, commonly known as positive vulcanization.
